Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach jumped out to an early lead on Geneva Foxes and captured an 18-5 victory on Monday. With 10 runs in the first three innings, Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach left no doubt about the eventual outcome. An RBI triple by Lauren Salerno, an RBI single by Alyssa Schroeder, an RBI single by Ally Pavlich, an RBI single by Olivia Hernandez, and an RBI single by Chloe Smiley during the first inning helped Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach put some runs on the board early. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach's Lauren was perfect at the dish, going 4-4. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach got five-run rallies in the third inning and the fifth. In the third, Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach scored on an RBI single by Andie Broniewicz, bringing home Meredith Olef. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach increased its lead with three runs in the fourth. A steal of home scored Morgan Bond for the inning's first run. That was followed up with a steal of home by Gracie Vlach. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach added five more runs in the top of the fifth. Wheatland Spikes drops 9-3 game to Plainfield Twisters Orange
Andie Broniewicz went 2-2 at the plate, but Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach fell 9-3 to Plainfield Twisters Orange at Four Seasons Park on Wednesday. Stephanie Ingrum, Meagan Maza and Liliana Santoyo helped lead Plainfield Twisters Orange. They combined for four hits and two RBIs. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second. A double by Andie, bringing home Meredith Olef started the inning off. The game was never in doubt after the second, as Plainfield Twisters Orange scored two runs on a groundout by Keira Suntken and an RBI single by Liliana. Plainfield Twisters Orange increased its lead with five runs in the third. A bases loaded walk scored Stephanie for the inning's first run. After pushing across two runs in the top of the fifth, Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach faced just a 9-3 deficit. An RBI single by Gracie Vlach and an error triggered Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach's comeback. Wheatland Spikes take out Plainfield Twisters Purple with help from Lauren Salerno, 7-3
Lauren Salerno went 1-2, sparking Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach to a 7-3 victory in seven innings over Plainfield Twisters Purple on Wednesday at Crossroads. She doubled in the fourth inning. Andie Broniewicz brought the heat against Plainfield Twisters Purple during her outing. Plainfield Twisters Purple managed just two hits off of B, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out seven during her three innings of work. The lead stayed with Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach after the first, when it scored one run on an RBI triple by Meredith Olef. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach scored five runs of its own in the third. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach scored on a fielder's choice, an RBI single by Ally Pavlich, and a two-run error. Plainfield Twisters Purple scored two runs in the top of the fifth to cut its deficit to three. An error and a wild pitch gave Plainfield Twisters Purple life. Lincoln Way Storm 10U's Isabella Hull, Corey Maloney and Nicole Mucha combined for five hits and six RBIs. Lincoln Way Storm 10U never trailed after scoring three runs in the first on an RBI double by Isabella, an RBI single by Nicole, and an RBI triple by Ciara Shefts. Lincoln Way Storm 10U added five more runs in the top of the second. Corey's triple got things going, scoring Alexandra Hofman, Bella Wilkerson and Grace Kmak. That was followed up by Emily Abrahamsen's single, bringing home Corey. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth to cut its deficit to five. A steal of home by Morgan Bond, a steal of home by Lauren Salerno, and an RBI single by Meredith Olef set off Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach rally. Lincoln Way Storm 10U stopped the rally after Corey got Alyssa Schroeder to fly out. Lincoln Way Storm 10U tacked on another two runs in the fifth. A ground out scored Nicole for the inning's first run. After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the fifth, Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach faced just a 10-5 deficit. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach wound up on the wrong side of a 11-2 score on Saturday at Crossroads, tasting defeat at the hands of Plainfield Twisters Orange.

Plainfield Twisters Orange never trailed after scoring one run in the first on an RBI single by Aidee Calvillo. One run in the bottom of the fourth helped Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach close its deficit to 3-1. A groundout by Andie Broniewicz fueled Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach's comeback. Lauren Salerno struck out to end the Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach threat. Plainfield Twisters Orange added six more runs in the top of the fifth. Brooke Knox's double got things going, bringing home Sara Neville. One run in the bottom of the fifth helped Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach close its deficit to 8-2. A wild pitch gave Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach life. Chloe Smiley struck out to end the Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach threat.
