In the top of the second, Plainfield Twisters Purple grabbed the early lead, 2-0.

A error scored Ally Pavlich and Megan Witzke to start the scoring in the inning.

Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach beat Elmhurst Emeralds 6-1 in five innings on Saturday at Yorkville behind Lauren Salerno, who went 2-2. She singled in the second inning and tripled in the fourth inning. Alyssa Schroeder looked sharp on the rubber. S gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked five and struck out 10 during her five innings of work. L Gentile was charged with the loss. She allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out four. Elmhurst Emeralds managed to score one run in the first inning. The lead stayed with Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach after the second, when it scored three runs on two singles. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach tacked on another two runs in the fifth. Andie Broniewicz started the inning with a single, scoring Maia Clifford.

Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach pounded Elmhurst Emeralds on Sunday 13-5 in six innings.

Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach scored four runs in the fifth on Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Megan Witzke, a wild pitch, an RBI single by Lauren Salerno, and a walk by Olivia Hernandez. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach was led by Gracie Vlach's hitting. Gracie went 3-4 and scored three runs. She singled in the first, fourth, and sixth innings.

Andie Broniewicz was a workhorse in the circle while bagging the win for Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach. Andie pitched six innings and allowed one earned run, seven hits and five walks while striking out 15. #3 took the loss for Elmhurst Emeralds. She allowed 13 runs in five innings, walked six and struck out one. The bottom of the first saw Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach take an early lead, 3-0. Gracie kicked things off for Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach with a single. A stolen base then moved Gracie from first to second. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach then tacked on more runs when C scored on a wild pitch and B scored on a walk by Meredith Olef. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach tallied one run in each of the second, fourth and sixth. In the second, Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach scored on an error, bringing home Lauren. The lead stayed with Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach after the third, when it scored three runs on a groundout by Megan and two singles. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach added one more run in the bottom of the sixth when walked.

Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach fell 14-10 to Plainfield Twisters Purple in seven innings on Sunday despite racking up 10 hits and 10 runs. Morgan Bond was hot from the plate for Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach. Morgan went 1-3, drove in one and scored two runs. She homered in the fifth inning. Plainfield Twisters Purple was sparked by Samantha Batalden and Natalie Thies, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs. Plainfield Twisters Purple went up for good in the first, scoring four runs on an RBI single by Samantha. A five-run fourth inning helped bring Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach within one. An RBI single by Meredith Olef, a wild pitch, an RBI single by Megan Witzke, and an RBI single by Lauren Salerno set off Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach rally. Olivia Hernandez flew out to end the Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach threat. Plainfield Twisters Purple added five more runs in the top of the fifth. A passed ball scored Alyssa Hoffman for the inning's first run. One Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach run crossed the plate in the bottom half of the fifth, making the score 10-5. A solo home run by Morgan sparked Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach's rally. Plainfield Twisters Purple stopped the rally after Alyssa got Andie Broniewicz to fly out.

After posting two runs in the sixth, Plainfield Twisters Purple again scored two in the seventh. In the sixth, Plainfield Twisters Purple scored on an RBI triple by Kailey Morrell, scoring Emily Bickett. Two runs in the bottom of the sixth helped Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach close its deficit to 12-7. A groundout by Megan and an RBI single by Lauren fueled Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach's comeback. Alyssa ended the inning by getting Olivia to ground out.
