Bat busters was never able to get over the hump and overcome its troubles against Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach on Friday, as Bat busters fell 5-3 at Berliner Park, Columbus OH after falling behind by three runs in the second inning.

Bat busters scored on a groundout by #1 in the third inning and an RBI triple by #44 in the fourth inning. Unfortunately, Bat busters wasn't able to take the lead back.

 

Gracie Vlach went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach. She singled in the first, second, and fifth innings.

 

The lead stayed with Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach after the first, when it scored one run on an error.

Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach matched its two-run second inning with two more in the fifth. In the second, Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach scored on a two-run single by Gracie, plating Chloe Smiley and Morgan Bond.

Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach jumped out to an early lead on East Kentucky Frenzy and captured a 12-1 victory on Sunday.

The game was decided quickly as Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach exerted its will early with 12 runs in the first three innings.

An error and an RBI single by Megan Witzke during the first inning and a two-run single by Morgan Bond, an error, and a two-run triple by Meredith Olef in the second inning fueled Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach's offense early.

 

Broniewicz racked up two RBIs on one hit for Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach.

 

 

Andie Broniewicz had an impressive outing against East Kentucky Frenzy's lineup. East Kentucky Frenzy managed just one hit off of the Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach's pitcher, who allowed one earned run, walked one and struck out seven during her four innings of work.

Five runs in the first three innings allowed Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach to put the game away early.

A two-run single by Andie Broniewicz and an error during the first inning supplied the early offense for Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach.

 

Gracie Vlach boosted her batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach. She singled in the first and fourth innings.

 

 

Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach's Alyssa Schroeder kept Motor city Madness off the scoreboard for all five innings she was on the rubber. She pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out nine.

 

Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach added two more runs in the bottom of the third. Megan Witzke kicked things off with a single, scoring Meredith Olef.

Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach tacked on another three runs in the fourth. The inning looked promising, as Olef doubled, scoring Broniewicz and Vlach to kick things off. That was followed up by Schroeder single, plating Olef.

Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach's offense didn't make it easy on Andie Broniewicz, providing two runs off of the Millington Cardinals pitching on Sunday, but Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach's starter was still able to get the job done. Broniewicz threw seven innings on the way to a win in seven innings.

Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning, pushing across fourth. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach scored on a wild pitch.

The Millington Cardinals' lone run of the ballgame came in the fifth inning.

The game's last lead went to Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach thanks to a fifth inning rally that saw one run cross the plate on an RBI triple by Megan Witzke.

Despite a big day at the dish from Alyssa Schroeder, who finished 2-2, Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach lost 10-2 to the Vipers on Sunday.

 

The Vipers couldn't get anything going as long as Ally Pavlich was in the circle. Ally held the Vipers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

 

The Vipers never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring two runs on an RBI single by #8.

The Vipers built upon their lead with five runs in the third. A ground out scored #11 and #8 for the inning's first run. That was followed up by #4's single, bringing home #33 and #23.

Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth to cut its deficit to eight. A groundout by Chloe Smiley and an RBI single by Maia Clifford sparked Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach's rally. Wheatland Spikes 10U Vlach's Meredith Olef flew out to end the ballgame.
